EIC client Metalmark Innovations secures technology license from Harvard with help of EIC
The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic at Yale Law School congratulates EIC client Metalmark Innovations on the all-fields exclusive license granted by Harvard’s Office of Technology Development for their cutting-edge air-purification technology.
Developed at The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Metalmark’s novel technology catalyzes the complete removal of key submicron airborne pollutants and pathogens, including viruses like the Coronavirus.
Named after the metalmark butterfly, Metalmark embeds catalytic nanoparticles into its nano-architecture matrix. Similar in appearance to the metallic “spots” on the metalmark butterfly’s wing, the unique 3D material is responsible for indoor and outdoor air purification in Metalmark's air purification technology. The advanced material technology also has potential applications in factory and vehicle emissions and the conversion of greenhouse gasses.
In addition to having represented Metalmark in the Harvard license negotiations, the EIC also advises Metalmark on corporate and commercial matters and fundraising.
